Subject:replies on VK7

Hi
To all you guys that replied to my doubts about the VK7.Thanks! Seems I am being hard on the keyboard. All seems to be a matter of opinion.Maybe it's not the best clone but reading your mails there are things for and against on all of them!!!
Don't gig anymore gave it up in the late 70's to concentrate on my (proper job)as my wife called it!!!! Fixing computers. Was asked
by a local band to put down some backing tracks for them. But they did not want me on stage with them! Think it was the fact that
at 50 plus it would have ruined there image.Do some home recording etc.so there really is no point in spending money on Leslies
and high tech.gear.anyway don't realy have the room for more stuff. My studio is the small bedroom in our house and with a Marine
aquarium, 2 keyboards,2 amps, mixer, and computer I would not be able to move. But anyway thank you all for telling me about your setups. You all seem to be pro musicians.Me I was only ever a backing keyboard player.Still that does not mean I cannot think that the Hammond Tone wheel was the backbone of Rock.
To my Aussie friend Roger
The sounds I like:- Santana,E.L.P.,Roachford,Procal Harem,Faces,Jimmy Smith,Roy Philips(The Peddlars)bet you never heard of them!!!! they played modern jazz in the 60's.Most of the backing organ sounds of the 60's/70's.Gospel,Jazz.Only sound not keen on is Theater organ.

All the best
Pete Graver
