Subject:CX3 pedals/Leslie Connector

Doug,

I think it would have been a good idea to have a Leslie connector
but personally I would prefer a 147/122 switchable connector
because with the 11 pin connector other manufacturers are
using you still have to buy a $175-200 adaptor to use a specific Leslie
For my $.02 11-pin type units are not considered 'Classic' Leslie's.
Leslie preamps have much more flexibility than built in connecters
eg:Trek II can connect to 30 different type of Leslie's.
I own a Hamptone tube preamp that can drive a 147 and 122 at the same
time.
Had Korg added a pedal channel and Leslie connector the price would be
much higher and it is already the most expensive organ.
IMO It has more Hammond -centric features and playability, sound quality
than any other Hammond Clone except the XB3A which costs
significantly more money. Also the market for organists who play pedals
with clones may not be big enough to support it. Korg would have had to
manufacture their own pedals as an option to the CX3. I personally feel
that there is more left hand bass playing than pedals these days,
and I think organists who play pedals might want a dual manual rather than a
single manual organ.
