Renee,

Try Power on CX3 while holding donw preset button 1+8 simlutaneously
this will give you the version. Mine is serial # 000689. Version is
IpI V2.00 000422AB. I am not sure if there is a newer version or
not. I think what you saw pushing down them display is the Flasrom
chip set there are 2 of them.
