Renee,

That's in the "gray area" units. I was told by KORG that the latest
firmware was phased in at S/N 001176, but I've heard of it being on S/N
000778, so who knows?

>Maybe my CX-3 has the early software. How can I check the version?

Hold the '1' and '8' buttons while powering the unit up. The "good"
firmware is:

Ipl V2.00 000422AB

Wow, another "Easter Egg"! Mine says:

M00111500 S00111400

If I had to hazard a guess, maybe main board and satellite board
revisions? Using that theory, you would have M10.11.2 and S10.11.2 (or
something), while I have M11.15.0 and S11.14.0. FWIW, mine seems
later/newer than yours ...

And I just found another one: If you hold down the '2' and '7' buttons,
the display says, "Load Factory Data?"

I've tried to find others, but that seems to be all. 3/6, 4/5, Ex, Write,
Exit, Edit/Global/Exit, /Write, and +/- combinations do nothing.

This is important, folks. You have to hold the buttons down until after
the A-1 preset information is displayed.
