Subject:OT: Korg M1 won't boot up

Sorry for this OT post, but I've got an old Korg M1 and it won't boot up - it doesn't get past the message saying "Korg M1 Workstation" (after which it should boot and default to program 00). It's never had the internal battery changed. Is that the problem? Is that a user-serviceable item? I know, I know, this is way OT, but I didn't know where else to go, and I figured someone here would definitely know. Thanks.
