Dan,
I unwittingly started that rush on Kobitone mics because I was just
trying to save some effort at gigs. I ran the wire to the back &
then through the existing cutout for the power cord. Same thing for
the LowPro. I only put 1 on top & 1 on bottom, but I'm really happy
with the results.
I run them into a small mixer so that I can mix in the keyboard
signal & send just 1 line to the sound board, which sound men really
like. The sound is very good & I've had no problems at all. Just
watch the gain if you don't sub-mix yourself. They can be very loud
& easily can feedback if you turn the gain up too much. In this case
I think you get much more than your money's worth, but YMMV. Good
