Subject:V5 volume for lower manual?

Hi to all,

as I'm new to this list, please be patient... I'm trying to learn from
the archives, but the search feature did not work for me. Whatever phrase I
typed in to search for it always returned the whole bunch of items.

So, here's my first "contribution":
I like the V5 very much but find that in the factory presets the volume
of the lower manual is too high with respect to the upper manual.

Sending a Midi Volume Message to the "lower Midi Channel" does not work
(Volume seems to be a global parameter for the V5).

I suspect that I have to prepare a more "silent" preset (with all the
drawbars "pushed in" a small amount) and use that preset for
multitimbral purposes.

Is there a more flexible way?
