First, what are the fundamental sound differences between a Leslie
122 and 147? Is one used more in rock and one used more in
blues/jazz?

Second, the Pro 3T is said to be set up from the factory to sound
like a 147. What adjustments can be made to the speed pots inside to
make it sound like a 122 if at all?

The 147 has feedback on the output stage and has better high frequency response than the non-feedback 122. The overdrive harmonic content is also a little different because of the feedback.

Hi Tim, The 122 and 147 sound the same. They are exactly the same unit
except the 122 is made to hook to Hammond console organs with balanced
outputs. Speed switching is also achieved by changing the potential on these
lines. The 147 is made for Hammond organs without a balanced output, such as
spinets or organs with internal speakers. They have the same motors, same
speed, same power, so there is really no difference in the sound, just in the
way the hook up. I can't advise you how to adjust the Pro3T as I use a 122
with my B3, and a 145 (Shorty version of a 147) with my clones.
