Subject:Re: Choice of keyboard 2 with Korg organ
The RD-600 is a great lower keyboard for any clone. It has several
inches of open space which is great for overlapping the organ so that it
can be in close proximity to the piano keyboard. Like Dave O, I prefer
the Invisible stands which I have used for nearly 15 years now. They are
durable, flexible, rock solid, very low profile (audience can hardly tell
you have a stand), pack into a small bag and have ample room underneath
for the needed pedals. No, I am not a sales rep for Invisible. I just
really like them. I have 3 of them (1 parted out to the other 2). I
think the company might not be around anymore, but last time I checked,
you can still find some Invisible product on websites like zzounds or
8thstreet.
I have my Invisible stand set up so that the upper tier is exactly lined
up with the top of the RD-600 and the XK2 sits flat, with 1/2 of the
organ supported by the piano and the other half supported by the stand.
Check out the attached photos which gives you an idea how this looks.
One of these is kind of old from the XB2 era. I use some velcro on the
upper tier to keep the organ from sliding away, and also layer the soft
velcro under the organ so that the piano does not get scratched.
Good luck with whatever solution works for you.

Eric
