Subject:RE: [Voce] Power Supply Replacement...Need help FAST!!
Bill,
Radio Shack and others also sell AC supplies, as well as DC. Digi-Key
(www.digikey.com) has several 12VAC adapters, ranging from 200mA to
2.0A. I don't know how much current a V5 takes, so I can't recommend
one, but your owner's guide (or the back of the V5) should tell you how
much power you need. You want an adapter of equal or greater output.
Digi-Key's whole catalog is online: The part numbers are T606-ND,
T607-ND, T6-08-ND,and T609-ND. (I'm assuming that the V5 uses an 1/8"
phone plug/jack as the AC input; is this the case? If not, look at the
T614-ND, which has a "barrel" jack like most guitar effects boxes, or
the models that say "S/T" on them, for "stripped-and-tinned leads";
i.e., you'll have to solder a plug on the end.)
As a last resort: In many cases, a 12VDC supply can be substituted for
a 12VAC supply. (The opposite is almost NEVER true!) I don't know if
this is the case with the V5, but it might be.

Subject: [Voce] Power Supply Replacement...Need help FAST!!
The power supply for my V5 burnt out during a gig. Now the REAL
question. Does anybody know of an adequate, readily available
replacement? The traditional Radio Shack won't work because the V5 is
a 12VAC. Two emails to DR Strings has produced NO response. Any
suggestions would be readily welcome.
