Subject:Swell pedal

A question for the experienced:

I have a V3->Leslie Pedal Preamp->Leslie setup I would like to add a swell
(volume) pedal to. Per recommendations found elsewhere, I have changed the
output of the V3 to the effects output to bypass some of the noisy and, in
my case, unnecessary circuits. If I get a pedal like the Roland EV-5 which
has been recommended, will it actually work with this setup? (The volume
control on my drawbars do not).

If not, is there another configuration that would give me the benefit of
lower noise with a volume pedal.
