I don't think this is in the V5 itself. The V3/V5 have a tonality that
is very close to the original Hammond console organ, and they didn't
have any strange bass resonances. (Strange pedal tones: Now that's
another story ...)

I'll bet that your speaker cabinet is the culprit. You can test my
theory by using headphones to listen to the V5: Is the volume increase
still there?
