Subject:Re: [Voce] V5 newbie question
Wolfgang,
Welcome to the group! I can answer some of your questions; can
somebody who owns a V5 also join in? (I own a V3.)
- Percussion. It's much weaker than
with any of my "real"
Hammonds. If set to "fast" it's often not audible at all. Is
that
normal?
Yes, this is a weakness of the Voce design. Dave Amels posted a
modification for the V3 to boost the percussion back to B-3 levels.
It was so popular that everyone assumed that it would be standard in the
V5. For whatever reason, it's not.
There is probably a way to boost the V5 just like the V3, if anyone's
brave enough to pop the cover on their V5 and play around inside.
If the circuitry is basically the same as the V3 -- and it's probably
close -- it only involves soldering one resistor onto the PC board.
The other option is to reduce the drawbars slightly; i.e., 666000000
instead of 888000000, etc.
- I read the manual 5 times but I
still did not succeed in
programming the registration for the left hand when using
"split". Is
this an overall setting for all presets or can each preset have it's
own left hand registration?
I leave this question to a V5 owner to answer. Anyone???
Regards,
-BW
