I note your color coding system for cables, which I have also used. Problem
I had with it was sometimes when I set up the stage lights are colored, and I
can't hassle the owner or sound guy to change it to white. In a sea of
orange or blue or red light, I found it hard to match colors. They just
looked like "mud" sometimes. I tried using a flashlight, but that's a bit
awkward. So, I settled on using numbers, written black on white, rather than
color coding. I just match them up, and I go in order 1, 2, 3 etc. until I
am done---that assures that I have not left one connection out. Anyway, this
is just an alternative to try.
