Hi,

I'm using an older Roland A-50 to control a Voce V3 and a Kurzweil PC88 for
piano and synth sounds. I just graduated from a garage band that rarely played
parties to one that plays parties 8 or 10 times a year.

The path for the organ sounds is:
Roland A-50->Voce Drawbar unit-> Voce V3-> V3 Effects out ->Ernie Ball volume
pedal->
EQ->ART Tube preamp->Pro-3T->Mackie 1202 mixer->QSC 1200 watt power amp
(bridged)->JBL 4725

The PC-88 also runs into the mixer and I use an Alesis QSR module (with synth
and classic keys cards) thats also routed to the mixer.

I'm not that thrilled with the Alesis sounds. There are a few good synth patches
and the Rhodes sounds on the classic keys card are OK if I layer then with
sounds from the PC88. If I was to do it over again I would probably get
something else.

The JBL 4725 has an excellent sound. Its an SR series cabinet that you can get
used for around $500. It requires at least 650 watts so I need a powerful amp
for it. I can keep up volume-wise with anyone in the band but I'm better off
miking the rig for a sound man to control (when we have the luxury of one).

Instead of the JBL I occasionally use 2 Barbetta 32-Cs for the organ bass if
the band needs the JBL and power amp for the PA. The Barbettas sound fine but
definetly need to be miked.

The problem with the rig is that it takes a long time to set up. I've read the
posts of organizing chords and pedals with great interest.

I also need to come up with a better keyboard stand, one that keeps the
keyboards closer together vertically. Right now I'm using a QuickLoc X stand. A
company named Standtastic makes keyboard stands with "infinite height
adjustment". I used to have a link to their web page but lost it. Does anyone
have experience with their stands?
