From what I understand, the VERD-1 card is the one that has the basic RD600
piano sounds (and some other sounds). There's another card which has the sounds
from the 'session' board - which I think are what's on the XP (?) series of
synths. I think that's what's on the card you're referring to. When I thought
about getting an A70 I was going to get an A70EX which has the VERD-1 card
included. They were going at Zzounds for $700 I believe. I'm not sure if they
still have them. I think that's where the best piano sounds are. I found
lilchips.com a good resource for learning about Roland controllers. I hope this
clarifies rather than confuses.
