Subject:Leslie 10B "simulator"
Hello Leslie Fans,
I've mentioned it once before, but I thought I'd mention it again
relating to the current discussion. For a great-sounding Leslie
"simulator", try a 2-speed Leslie 10B out of a Little Old Lady organ from
the local thrift store. I recommend a 10" Eminence speaker and two mics
panned stereo. Power it with a tube amp of about 30 watts. You will need
something else for the bass. I have this side by side with my Leslie 31W
w/2-speed rotor and it compares well. The 10B ends up being a lightweight
package about the size of Super Reverb, and with the rotor spinning on a
horizontal axis, like a Fender Leslie. If you find one, you are welcome to
email for more details.
