Subject:Wallwarts etc...

Hi,
I'm wondering can anyone help me out with advice about setting up an
efficient Voce oriented keyboard rig. I'm still having some problems getting
this stuff together. Here's what I'm using - Roland A30 drives a Voce V5
(velco-ed on top) and a Kurzweil Micropiano. That's three wall warts right
there. So I have rack mounted the Micropiano and a power conditioner in a 4
space SKB rack, leaving room for future additions to my rig. My
amplification is a Motionsound Pro 3 and a Peavey KBA100 which I plan on
replacing with something louder and clearer sounding (the new version JBL
EON 15" looks interesting).
The problem I'm having is that no matter how I set everything up I'm still
faced with a mess of cords AND a fairly long set up/ tear down time. The
short lenght of the wall wart cords means that if I put the rack on top of
my amp - I have to set up the A30 and Voce too close to the amp so that
they'll reach - and I've got cords dangerously hanging in the air. If the
rack is under the amp - the cords are still too short - and in a great
location for someone to trip over. I guess I could put the rack halfway
between the amp and the keyboard - but I need to have visual access to the
Kurz for changing settings etc... so I'd need to raise it which is getting
into more complication and taking up more room. I'm usually playing on
cramped stages. I'm just trying to put together a simple, decent sounding
small organ and piano rig. A B3 and 122 are looking more and more attractive
every day.
What I'm wondering is whether any other Voce users have encountered these
kinds of problems - and what you did about them. Sorry if this is kinda
basic stuff - but I'm used to plugging in an instrument into an amp, turning
on and playing - and racks and wall warts are pretty new to me. Any help
very appreciated.
Thanks,
Eamonn
