i think the original post was referring to the brightness of the
discrete LEDs (leslie on/off, chorus/vibrato, percussion, etc.
indicators), rather than the LCD display screen. there is no exterior
brightness control for these LEDs. One possible way to reduce their
brightness would be to somehow insert a current limiting resistor
into the circuit for each LED. i have no idea if this is feasible or
even possible. perhaps there is an easier way; maybe the LEDs are
driven by a common driver which allows for current adjustment.
