Subject:Voce V-3 questions
Hello everyone,
After having my V-3 for several months now, I am just now starting to
play with it. The more I mess with it the more I really like it, but
I've got some questions.
First, I hear the popping caused by a MIDI volume pedal that has been
talked about on the list and I don't like it. Will the clicking and
popping still be present If I control the volume or expression from
the rear pedal jack on the V-3? I want to control the volume of dual
manuals plus MIDI pedals just like a B-3.
Can I use an original Yamaha DX7 expression pedal for use with the
V-3's rear pedal jack? If not, where is a good source for a pedal
that will work?
If I'm used to playing a real B-3 and I want an expression pedal for
my V-3 that I'll be happy with, should I continue to mess with the
V-3's pedal capabilities or should I buy a volume pedal that I route
the V-3's audio output through? Any recommendations if this it the
route I choose?
If our PA is monaural, do I need to sum the stereo outputs from the
V-3 to get the best internal rotary simulation, or do I simply use
only one of the audio outputs? If I use only one output jack, will
I only get half of the simulated rotary horn's cycle?
Does the V-3 have separate 16' and 8' pedal drawbars and can I assign
them to separate MIDI controls or sliders?
Is there a percussion boost mod for the V-3?
Finally, my V-3's front panel (green) LED's are so bright that they
blind me when trying to read the front silk screens. I would like to
modify thier brightness. Has anyone else done this or has experienced
this problem?
Thanks, Carl Benick
