Subject:Potential V5 Problem

Last night while setting up the V5 for the job I found out the socket on the V5 where the wall wart plugs in had broken off. I always take it very easy on the equipment so this was somewhat of a surprise. After taking off the cover & removing the circuitboard I found out that it is actually the solder joints that anchor the socket to the unit & they are on the side of the socket (brilliant engineering move there!!), so any time you plug in the power supply you are tugging on the solder joints. Had to play the whole job w/ the open circuit board laying on the case & the socket duct taped into place, & it still was doing some wierd stuff. The guitar player is going to try to resolder it today, but the actual joints are inside two layers of circuitboard, so it might not be possible to get to. So this is just a warning for you V5 owners to be extra extra careful plugging in your power supply. Hope nobody else has to go through this.
