Subject:RE: Mounting Drawbars to a solid base
Juba,
The method is pretty easy, and results in a set of drawbars that are
Hammond-stable:
1. Take the DB module apart: a) remove the four knobs from their pots;
b) remove the five screws -- three in the back, one on each side;
c) carefully separate the top cover from the base.
2. The PC board is held in place with four (???) screws. After the
screws are removed, the entire drawbar assembly comes out of the
case -- minus the drawbars, which are then pulled out through the
slots in the front.
3. There is about 1/4-3/16" clearance below the PC board inside the
bottom of the case. Drill 2-4 holes in the case (I used two holes,
kitty-corner) and mount the bottom case to a wood base, which can
also double as a platform for your upper keyboard.
4. Re-install the drawbars -- make sure they're in the correct order,
too -- and then place the PCB back in place. The sliders will
only go into the short slots in the drawbars, so it's best to set
the sliders to all "0" before trying to put the PB board back in.
5. Put the 4 screws back in the PC board, place the cover back on,
tighten the 5 case screws, and put the 4 knobs back on. You're
done!
Best regards,
-BW

Subject: [Voce] Mounting Drawbars to a solid base
From: jubaoffice@pullman.com
My second post. As the proud new owner of an "old set" of Voce drawbars,
I need all of your help. How do I make them sit firmly on my Korg N1.
Even with the strongest Velcro they still rock and roll. If my memory
serves
me, Bruce detailed a method for mounting them on a wood block on the
groups'
old site (but I can't find the file). Can anyone remember or suggest a
different way , without making Bruce rewrite the instructions.
