You need to take a line out of the C3's preamp. There are probably
several possible circuits that can be constructed to do this, but I got
a simple one out of the book *The Hammond Organ - Beauty In The B* by
Mark Vail (Miller Freeman Books). This line level output is suitable to
drive the Rotosphere (or many other effects units). Try searching the
internet for alternative designs...
I use the H&K with my C3 because of severe space limitations in my
practice room, and because it is so quick and easy to record. Also I can
play late And not disturb anyone. It's a compromise when compared to a
*real* leslie, but it's a compromise I can live with.
I'd be interested to hear what members of this list think about the Voce
Spin II. They're not available in the UK yet so I haven't heard one yet.
How does it compare with the H&K?
