Mel,
I use an X-stand type seat which ends in an extra-padded traditional
piano bench. The height is adjustable via the "X", and it's very
comfortable. It arguably seats two, and so will accommodate an
attractive vocalist in a pinch!
I think it was made by On-Stage Stands. It was an Xmas gift in 1998, so
I don't know the cost, but I believe it was under $100.
Best regards,
-BW

Subject: [Voce] Thrones for gigs?
From: melvinnich@aol.com
Dear List,
Thanks for the information about the percussion mod on the V5 and the
Mackie.
QUESTION: I play a Fatar 17-key spinet-style bass pedalboard with my V5
on
the gig and something about my new setup is giving me backaches. I
think I
need a new throne. What thrones would you recommend; what should I look
for
in a throne? Are there any other setup ergonomics that you think are
pertinent to the use of pedals?
Thanks!
