Mark,
I have an Ernie Ball volume pedal (mono style) that I love. I've never tried
the stereo one - I've never bothered to run in stereo - too much hassle and
cables. The V5 doesn't have stereo output, so that's not even an issue for
you to worry about. Mine has a great range, smooth feel, and I swear by it.
There's a Boss pedal that others on the Voce group also like.

I use it with a V5 and a Rotosphere or Motion Sound amp (depending on the
gig).
I recommend it.
