Subject:Re: [Voce] Wallwarts etc...
Eamonn,
I had a similar setup with an A30 and a Voce V3. Here's what I did. I
mounted the wall wart for the A30 inside the keyboard ( there's lots of room
in there ) and I used a standard computer style IEEE power connector on the
keyboard for power. Then I mounted a stereo 1/4" jack on the back of the
A30 and made a cable which was 1/4" stereo plug one end, Voce power plug the
other. That way the Voce got it's power from the A30. Very slick. My V3
drawbar unit is very flexible regarding power requirements ( AC/DC, various
voltages ) and adapted easily. I'm not sure if the V5 is as tolerant, and
if not, you may have to mount it's wall wart inside the A30 too. In any
case, the A30 is so light that you won't mind the extra weight. Worked for
me! Cheers, Ken
PS,
The stereo connection was used to avoid shorting the power to ground when
connecting/disconnecting. I used the tip and the ring to carry power and
left the sleeve unconnected.
